Below is a chart that shows the exit polling data based on religious affiliation. Let's take a look at this years results.
In total Obama received more support from religious groups than did Romney, but there are some rather surprising totals in the individual listings. First of all, you have the Catholic vote. As we all know there was a huge issue this year when the Supreme Court ruled on ObamaCare because of the mandate that violated the religious freedom of the Catholic Church. It is against the Catholic teaching to use contraceptives or have an abortion, and within this bill is a mandate forcing Catholic institutions to provide contraceptives and abortificient drugs, within their insurance, to their employees. This was a huge deal, AND YET 50% of the Catholic vote went to him.
Then we have the Jewish vote. This is even more surprising because Obama has made it clear in no uncertain terms that his support is with Muslims. You know, the people who hate Jews and want to kill them where ever they find them. In his own words:
“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” (p.261 paperback edition "Audacity of Hope")
So why then does he receive a whooping 69% of the Jewish vote?
And need I point out the disproportionate amount of black Christians voting for Obama? Need we go there? Maybe some other time, for now there's another point I want to make.
I wrote a piece earlier this year that talked about the fact that Obama is not America's problem. The problem is an electorate that puts him in office. I came across a video today that took that a step further. So let's watch before I continue.
If a trees fruit is rotten it isn't the fruit that is the problem, nor is it the branch; it's the root. If you don't address the root your fruit won't change.
My Pastor always likes to use the phrase "stinkin thinkin". It's a cute phrase but it's where the battle between good and evil starts and that battle is far from cute, it's where we win or lose. Before we even act, the battle is fought, won and lost in our mind.
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2Cor 10:4-5
As a man thinketh, so is he...Provers 23:7
This is a direct challenge to you as an individual to take this video's message to heart. The Church has become complacent and as a result you have false teachings left and right. Churches who teach "whatever makes you feel good" messages. Christians who cast votes of support for candidates who stand for things God hates.
This is unacceptable. Before America can have a revolution, the Church must have a revival. This country was founded on Christianity and yet Christians have failed this country in many ways.
Here you have a man who advocates infanticide and gay marriage, a man who would strip the 1'st and 2nd amendment rights from every American citizen, a man who has publicly mocked Christian beliefs and hailed Islam at every opportunity, a man who has broken his oath of office and ignored our Constitution, disrespected our flag and our liberties, stands in arrogance as people chant his name and worship him like he is their Christ.
This man? This is the man who vote you for? This man who says this is no longer a Christian nation? This man who looks down his nose at people who cling to their guns and bibles? This is who you want to rule over you? A man that is disgusted by your faith and works hard at eradicating it completely from the public?
Wake up Church. Wake up Christians. Wake the hell up.
